About Andrew Hopgood
“Ultimately, my work functions as a metaphor for the intricate interdependence between humans and nature. By harnessing the power of art, I hope to not only highlight the plight of endangered species but also inspire a collective commitment to positive change in our relationship with the natural world.”
Andrew Hopgood’s career began in commercial illustration using traditional mediums such as acrylic, gouache, watercolor and scraperboard then later transitioning to a digital platform and oils.
There’s a narrative to his work that blurs the lines between reality and fantasy. His use of juxtaposition and metaphor emphasizes the plight of our endangered wildlife and provides a forum for conversations about wildlife conservation and the importance of protecting endangered species.
